“The Institute of Charted Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the dates for Chartered Accountants (CA) exam scheduled to be conducted from January. As per the recent notification published by ICIA, the exam will be held from January 21, 2021, in all cities where exams are currently scheduled for November exam.”
Further, detailed information regarding exam schedule and admit card will be informed soon after the last date of the opt-out scheme, the notification added.
ICAI has already changed over 30 exam centers due to COVID-10, days ahead of the CA exams. As per ICAI, an average of 147 students will be appearing for the exam at each venue. For candidates whose exam centers have been changed, no new admit cards will be issued. Such candidates may note that admit cards already issued for November 2020 examination will remain valid for the new venue also. All other details such as name, date of birth, exam date, etc remain the same, the official said.
The decision of changing the exam venue at the last moment has been taken after concerning the rising cases of COVID-19. For the safety of staff, invigilators, and students authority has to take this decision. According to the administrative department, we implemented things as per our plans we make sure that students would have not face any disturbance during exams.
The total strength of students is around 4,71,619 who will participate in the ICAI CA exams starting from November 21, 2020, across 1,085 exam venues. ICAI claims that approximately 1,52,000 candidates would be appear on any single and the average comes to 147 candidates per exam center.
To ensure the safety of aspirants, ICAI has also given an option of opt-out. This facility can be obtained even during the exam in case a candidate starts to show the symptoms of the virus or anyone in their family contracts the COVID-19 or the area where he/she belongs is comes under the contaminated zone.
