At the convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ranchi Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on December 28, 2021, said that the focus of the education system should be on making job creators and not job seekers.
He further added while addressing convocation, “We are generating graduates every year but not employable ones. Because, we stuck in that education system which had been ensuring to provide job. We were making job-making youth, job seekers but now we want to make them job creators.
In a video conference he said, “After completing one’s education, the award of a degree is a big dream for any students. It is a matter of pride for getting a degree from a prestigious institute like IIM Ranchi.
Union Defence Minister appealed to the youth to promote local entrepreneurship and strengthen the Prime Minister Modi’s idea local for vocal with the help of technology so that India’s growth story can benefit the grassroots.
The future of any county depends on its youth’s dedication to how they can help their country to achieve global attraction and become the super representative of new ideas and lifestyle.
