CLAT 2021 Registration Form To Be Started From January 1, 2021; Check Here For All Details

The Consortium of National Law University has announced the date of CLAT 2021, exam which will be conducted on May 9, 2021, in offline mode.

The Consortium of National Law University (NLU) has made the announcement that the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 application forms will be released on January 1, 2021, at the official website – consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

CLAT exam will be held on May 9, 2021, in offline mode. Candidates can apply for the exam before the last date. The last date for CLAT registration is March 31, 2021. The time duration of the CLAT 2021 examination is 2 hours, exam will be conducted from 3 pm to 5 pm, the CLAT 2021 registration form will have to be submitted along with an application fee in online mode.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the same. CLAT is conducted for admission to both undergraduate and postgraduate law programs offered by the National Law University. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below.

The candidates, who have passed class 12th or an equivalent examination with minimum of 45% marks, can apply for the CLAT entrance examination. There is relaxation given to the reserved category candidates, candidates who belong to the SC/ST/PwD category are required to score at least 40% marks in the pursuing examination.

The candidates, who are thinking to apply for CLAT PG, should have an LLB degree from a recognized university. All are required to qualify the CLAT exam; candidates must have passed with minimum score of 50% marks. The SC/ST candidates must score at least 45% or equivalent grade in the qualifying examination.

Candidates appearing in the final year of LLB graduation may also apply for CLAT PG.

CLAT 2021 Entrance Exam Pattern:

The CLAT 2021 law entrance examination pattern contains comprehension based test designed to test the reading and critical thinking ability of the aspirants. In each passage, there are 5 to 8 multiple choice questions will be asked.

However, there is still some uncertainty about the pattern of CLAT 2021 PG. last year, the administrative authority has eliminated the essay section after repeated postponements due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In case they add the essay section again in the CLAT LLM examination, candidates have to score 40% of total marks as the cut-off marks required.

CLAT 2021 syllabus will be uploaded by the authority sooner on the official website of the consortium. They will clarify whether the essay section will be included or not and a reduction in the CBSC syllabus will affect the CLAT 2021 syllabus or not.

 

About CLAT:

There are around 2500 seats offered by NLU through CLAT UG and around 783 seats through CLAT PG exam. 22 National Law University (NLU) conducts CLAT examination for the admission to 5-year integrated LLB program and 1-year LLM program.
