CG TET 2020: A notification has been announced for the recruitment of Chhattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET) 2020 by the governing authority, Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB). The recruitment is available for the Primary & Upper Primary level. The primary level refers to classes from I-V and upper primary level refer to classes from VI-VIII. The CGTET certificate will be valid for seven years for qualified candidates.
The CGTET exam will be conducted in two sessions. The morning session will commence from 9.30 am to 12.15 pm and the evening session from 2.00 pm to 4.45 pm.

CG TET 2020 Eligibility Criteria
A candidate has to fulfil the below criteria before filling the application form to apply for CGTET exam this year. A candidate should be in the age of 18-35 years.
Paper 1: For Primary Teachers Class I-V
- Candidate should be qualified in class 12 or its equivalent with 50% marks with a 2-year Diploma in Education.
- Candidates with (B.El.Ed) Degree can apply and should appear in a 2-year Diploma in Elementary education (D.El.Ed)
- Candidate having B.Ed or Graduation Degree with 50% marks are also eligible.
Paper 2: For Upper Primary Teachers Class VI-VIII
- Those candidates will be qualified in B.Ed and Graduation Degree B.A/ B.Sc/ D.Ed with at least 50% marks can apply.
- Candidates appearing in 4 years of Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) are also eligible.
CG TET 2020 Examination Pattern

For Primary Level:
- Mode of Exam: The CGTET examination will be conducted offline
- Time Duration: The time duration for the examination is two hours and 30 minutes.
- Maximum Question: Total of 150 questions are asked in a question paper
- Marking Scheme: Candidate gets one mark for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: Negative marking scheme is available on the question paper
For Upper Primary Level:
- Mode of Exam: The CGTET examination will be conducted offline
- Time Duration: The time duration for the examination is one hour and 30 minutes.
- Maximum Question: Total of 150 questions are asked in a question paper
- Marking Scheme: Candidate gets one mark for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: Negative marking is available on the question paper
