FTII Pune Announces Online Film Appreciation Course, Course Director would be 5 National Awards winner Arunaraje Patil

Online Course 2020: Film and Television Institute of India Pune, FTII Pune has announced Online Film Appreciation Course which will commence on June 15 and conclude on July 11, 2020. Arunaraje Patil, winner of five National Awards, who is a Director, Producer, Film Editor, and Screen Writer will be the Course Director. Interested students or learners can apply for the course on FTII’s official website (ftii.ac.in) by June 2, 2020 (6 pm IST). International Students can also apply.

Online Film Appreciation Course Details

  • The course will be 24 days long,
  • Will be held six days a week from Monday to Friday.
  • The course will be held in two live interactive sessions: 11 am to 1 pm and 5 pm to 6 pm (Indian Standard Time-IST).
  • Exercises (Film Viewing): 1 – 5 pm IST. For film viewing, a list of films will be provided to selected candidates and they will have to watch it on their own.
  • The course will be held through Google Meet and Google Classroom.
  • A total of 50 candidates will be shortlisted to join the course.

FTII online course: How to apply

Students can follow the below steps to apply for FTII online film appreciation course:

Step 1: Visit FTII official website: ftii.ac.in and then click on Short Courses (One can also visit www.nfai.gov.in)

Step 2: Click on “FTII online”

Step 3: click on “online film appreciation course”

Step 4: Read the notice and criteria and then click ‘apply online’ at the end of it

Step 5: Fill the form and submit

Course Fee:

The application fee is INR 800 for the Online Film Appreciation course and the total course fee is INR 9,000 which will be paid after the selection of the candidate for Indian Nationals.

The application fee is INR 2400 for the Online Film Appreciation course and the total course fee is INR 27,000 which will be paid after the selection of the candidate for Foreigners including NRI, OCI etc.

After the successful completion of the online course, candidates or students will be given e-certificates for participation in respect to 90% attendance is mandatory for the issuance of e-certificates.

Selection Criteria:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of Statement of Purpose (SOP) and information provided in Application Form.
