Telangana TS SSC Exams 2020 (Class 10) further postponed

Telangana TS SSC Exams 2020: According to the recent notification, Telangana State Government has decided to postpone TS SSC Exam 2020 for Class 10th students in the current view of Coronavirus pandemic situation in the state. The news has been confirmed by Sabitha Indra Reddy, Telangana Education Minister.

The exam was expected to begin from tomorrow-June 8 and end on July 5, 2020. About 5,08,457 students applied to appear for the SSC exam 2020 and 9.65 lakh students registered for the intermediate examinations this year. The intermediate examination result is expected to be announced by next week as evaluation process was started n May 12.

Oriental Main Language Second Paper – July 5

On Saturday, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao made the announcement stating that conducting the exams in some areas and postponing in other areas would increase confusion and may lead to greater uncertainty. The examination should be conducted simultaneously across the state.

The Telangana High Court had granted permission to conduct the examinations from Monday in the state, barring in the regions defined. This was done as most of the cases from the district limits of GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation), Secunderabad, Hyderabad, and Ranga Reddy in the state were reported.

Reports also suggested that the Telangana Government is expected to hold a review meeting today to decide the fate of the exams – whether to cancel the SSC examinations or defer. The state government is also expected to consider the suggestion of the High Court to grade the students based on their academic year’s performance – given the present situation and cancelling this year’s class 10th examinations altogether.

Another important information that Telangana High Court ordered the state government and TSBSE to allow students to appear for supplementary exams who are unable to appear for the SSC Exams 2020 currently, which will be held at a later date (August or September 2020). Their marks memo should show them as regular students.
