AMU School Selection Process
The university conducts entrance exams for admission in classes 1, 6 and 9 to be held on different dates.
- Written Test( 100 Marks)
- Interview( 25 Marks)
The final selection is evaluated on the basis of performance in the written assessment and in the Interview.
AMU School Entrance Exam Details
For class 1, the question paper will be based on English, Arithmetic, Urdu, and GK consisting of 25 questions. The exam conducted is in offline mode. Objective type questions will be asked. The exam duration is of 2 hours with no negative marking.
For classes 6 and 9, the written test will comprise of two sections:
Section 1: 30 MCQ Questions having a weightage of 30 marks.
Section 2: 70 MCQ Questions having a weightage of 70 marks.
The exam duration is of 2 hours with no negative marking. The section 1 question paper will be based on English, Urdu and Hindi. For section 2, the paper will be based on Mathematics and Science.

Nationality
The student must be a citizen of India, Foreign nationals, and children of NRIs (Non-Resident Indians) are eligible for admission to AMU schools.
Class 1-
- The age of the student must be between 5 to 7 years as on 31st March 2020.
Class 6-
- The age of the student must be between 10 to 12 years as on 31st March 2020.
- The student must have passed class 5 from a recognized board.
Class 9-
- The student age must be between 13 to 15 years as on 31st March 2020.
- The student must have passed class 7 from a recognized board.
