AICTE Announces Postgraduate Scholarship for 2020-21; here’s how to apply

All India Council for Technical Education has announced GATE scholarship 2020 for a maximum period of 24 months or till completion of the course.

AICTE PG Scholarship 2020-21: The students who have enrolled themselves in the course like M.Tech, M.E., M.Arch, are offered the scholarship by AICTE in the academic year 2020-21. Students who have admitted to any of the AICTE approved institutions in the academic year 2020-21 and having a valid GATE score at the time of admission will be eligible to acquire the scholarship benefit. This scholarship is specially designed for the GATE PG students in which students will be provided a monthly stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month for a period of 24 months or till the completion of the course or at the last date of thesis submission, whichever is earlier. Students are also provided with an annual contingency grant of Rs. 20,000.

To pursue the scholarship benefits students have to validate their students’ ID and proceed with filling the GATE PG scholarship form. All the details should have to fill carefully. All the details like Bank account number, institute permanent ID, students’ ID, and date of birth have to fill correctly, failing in any will affect the scholarship.  After filing the form, the institutes have to verify and submit the data of all the candidates admitted in:

  • Tech,
  • E., and
  • Arch
  • Or any engineering postgraduates program through GATE

For the academic year 2020-21.  According to the notification of AICTE, the last date of submission is 31 December.

Students will get their scholarship directly to their liked bank account

Note: Candidates applying for admission in Engineering, Architecture and Pharmacy program can apply. But the students who apply for part-time courses are not eligible for the AICTE scholarship 2020-21.

“Candidates who qualified under OBC (creamy layer) category are not eligible for GATE scholarship. OBC (non-creamy layer) students will be required to submit certification not more than one year old to process their applications. Documents in support of SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/ Physically Handicapped certificate should be translated and verified in Hindi or English otherwise it should be transferred and verified in Hindi or English by a notary office or by the principal if institute, students shall upload both original and translated certificates,” an official added.

For receiving scholarship students should have the following documents:

  1. Saving bank account in their name
  2. Cast certificate and category certificates
  3. Original ID and GATE scorecard
  4. GATE/ institutes admission proof
