Employees without UAN can also check their EPF balance and withdraw from their PF account. A Universal Account Number (UAN) is a 12-digit unique number. This number is allocated to the EPF member. It is a permanent number and is valid for the lifetime of a member. Employer of the employee can generate the UAN number. Through the UAN, an employee can find out his PF balance and withdraw from the PF account at any time without the help of the employer. At the same time, even without UAN, an employee can check his PF balance and withdraw from the account. Let’s know its process.
Know PF balance like this without UAN
step 1. First of all, you have to log in by going to epfindia.gov.in.
Step-2. Now you have to click on the link “Click Here to Know your EPF Balance”.
Step-3. Now you will be redirected to epfoservices.in/epfo/. Now you have to click on the “Member Balance Information” tab.
Step 4. Now you have to select your state and click on your EPFO office link.
Step-5. Now you have to enter your PF account number, name and registered mobile number.
Step-6. Now you have to click submit. Now you will see your PF balance on the screen.
Withdraw from PF account in this way without UAN
If you do not have a UAN number, you will have to fill a PF withdrawal form for withdrawal from the PF account and submit it to the local PF office. The EPF member will have to download an Aadhaar-based Composite Claim Form or Non-Aadhaar Composite Claim Form through the Internet for this. Now you can make a partial or full withdrawal from the PF account by filling this form. Employees can make a full withdrawal from an EPF account if they have been retired or the employee has been unemployed for more than two months.
