Union Budget 2021: Upcoming budget will be different than before: Nirmala Sitharaman

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Friday declared that the budget for this time will be ‘unprecedented’. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, “The government will try to revive the economy affected by the corona. The in health, medical research and development (R&D) and development of comprehensive skills for telemedicine are going to be prove. We need to focus on the issues. Along with this, the challenges related to livelihood will be seen with the new perspective of vocational training and skill development.”

Sitharaman said at an event organized by CII, “Send me your suggestions so that we can make a budget like never before.” Such a budget would not have been seen in 100 years of India, post-pandemic. ”

Addressing the CII Partnership Conference 2020 via video conference, the Finance Minister said, “… and it will not be possible until I get a list of your suggestions and wishes, the things that you will get from these challenges. Clear observation of the idea…Without this, it is impossible for me to make a document of unprecedented budget, a budget that is being made after the pandemic.” General Budget for FY 2021-22 to be tabled in Parliament on 1 February 2021.

The Finance Minister said that to bring the economic growth on track, support should be increased for those areas which have been severely affected due to the Covid-1 pandemic as well as those areas which could help us to grow economically. She said, “Considering our size, population and capacity, for the good growth of India’s economy, I am not hesitant to say that we will be carriers of global growth along with some other countries.”

Nirmala Sitharaman said that apart from providing more finance for infrastructure, it is important to provide a private partnership for buildings and hospitals. She said that extensive skills would be needed to understand telemedicine. Along with this, she also said that livelihood is a big challenge and the industry must give its opinion in this matter.
