State Bank of India cardholders can make payment through google pay.

Nation’s largest credit card holder, SBI card issuer announced on Monday it’s collaboration with Google pay to ensure cardholders can use their SBI credit cards on the Google pay platform. Now State Bank of India cardholder will able to make payment through using Google Pay app on their Android smartphones and iOS.

One of the SBI cardholder stated that this collaboration is totally safe and secure for cardholders. Users can use Google pay in three modes i.e Tap and pay at NFC enabled PoS terminals, through scanning bharat QR code at shops as well as online payments without using the physical credit card.

The main aim of this collaboration is to promote zero contact and safe digital forms of payments to enhanced customer experience.

A highly secure payment also allow cardholders to use Google Pay to pay through a digital token attached to their phone, without sharing physical card information with the merchant.

Google Pay is a widely accepted payment app accepted by most of the merchants in India with deep access in metros cities as well as non-metros cities.

Here are few simple steps for cardholders
to do one time registration of their SBI Card on Google Pay platform:

On Android mobile phone download latest version of Google Pay app.

Go to google pay and under settings, press Add Card payment methods.

After that cardholder should enter their name, card number, expiry, CVV and Confirm One Time Password

Post OTP authentication the card is registered for payments and now user can be used at NFC-enabled terminals, Bharat QR enabled merchants and for select online merchants.
