Gold Price Today: Gold becomes cheaper in futures market, silver falls sharply

Gold and silver prices fell on Tuesday in futures trade. On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) at 10:15 am in April 2021, the price of delivery gold was down by Rs 255, or 0.56 per cent, to Rs 45,053 per 10 grams. In the previous session, the gold price in the April contract was Rs 45,308 per 10 grams. At the same time, in June 2021, the price of delivery gold was trending at the level of Rs 45,200 per 10 grams with a break of Rs 266 i.e. 0.59 per cent. In the previous session, the gold price of the June 2021 contract was Rs 45,466 per 10 grams. 

Silver price in the futures market

On the Multi Commodity Exchange at 10:16 am in May 2021, the price of silver was down by Rs 975, or 1.42 per cent, to Rs 67,825 per kg. In the previous session, the price of silver for the May contract was Rs 68,800 per kg. Similarly, in July 2021, the price of delivery silver was trending at Rs 68,818 per kg with a break of Rs 1,333, ie 1.90 per cent. In the previous session, the price of silver for the July contract was Rs 70,151 per kg.

Gold Price in Global Market

According to Bloomberg, the price of gold delivered in April on Comex was trading at $ 1,713.40 an ounce, with a break of $ 10.60, or 0.56 per cent. Similarly, in the spot market, gold was down by $ 9.72, or 0.56 per cent, at $ 1,715.32 an ounce.

Silver price internationally

Silver price for delivery in May 2021 was trading at $ 26.21 an ounce, with a break of $ 0.47, or 1.75 per cent, on Comex. In the spot market, silver was down by $ 0.43, or 1.61 percent, to settle at $ 26.14 an ounce.
