Startups in India: The number of startup companies in the country is increasing by 10 percent every year. An official has given this information on Tuesday. Apart from this, unicorn companies are also increasing their numbers every year. Certainly this is a sign of the growth of the country’s economy.

Sanjeev Malhotra, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of NASSCOM Center of Excellence for Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), said that most of the startup companies are in the field of applications. The same many startup companies are based on software service.
More than 14,000 start-up companies
“There is a significant increase in the number of startup companies in the country. Every year 10 percent new companies are joining. However, there is a need to create startup companies in the main areas of research. In the year 2016-17, it was only 733.
The number of unicorns in the country increased to 83
Sanjeev Malhotra said that more unicorns (valuation of more than one billion dollars) are being made in India. In 2021, 44 Indian startups have achieved unicorn status. In this way the number of unicorns in the country has gone up to 83.
