Central government is working towards saving lives and livelihood: Finance Minister told industry

Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held talks with representatives of various business and industry circles on Monday. She had this conversation over the telephone. During this interaction, she discussed the issues related to industry and association with the representatives of the business and the Chamber. Sitharaman tweeted that the central government is dealing with the Covid-19 epidemic at various levels and is working closely with the state governments for the lives and livelihoods of the people.  

She also wrote in his tweet, “Spoke on telephone with each of the following business/Chamber leaders. Took their inputs on industry/Association related matters. Informed them that GoI at various levels from @PMOIndia is responding to #Covid management. Working together with states for lives and livelihoods.”

Finance Minister from Uday Kotak, CEO of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Uday Shankar of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Deb Mukherjee of Bengal Chamber of Commerce, TR Parasuraman of Bangalore Chamber of Commerce, and Pawan Munjal of Hero Moto Corp talked to. 

Sitharaman assured, there will not be a nationwide lockdown

Earlier on Sunday, Sitharaman assured the industry of the country that this time there will not be a nationwide lockdown. It is noteworthy that in the second wave of Coronavirus, there is speculation of lockdown in the country this time too. This is once again creating an atmosphere of uncertainty. This is why this statement came from the Finance Minister.
