Mini Reveals Countryman Black Edition at Rs. 42.40 lakh

With Mini considering to provide a facelift to Countryman, Mini has now launched limited Black Edition of its Countryman range at a starting price of Rs. 42.40 lakh ex-showroom. In order to maintain exclusivity, only 24 units of the Countryman Cooper S JCW inspired Black Edition will be sold in Indian market. The Black Edition will be sold at a premium of Rs. 1.0 lakh over the Inspired edition.

Altogether the Countryman is offered in 4 variants, base Variant Cooper S, Cooper Sd, Cooper S JCW and all premium Black Edition. The Black Edition gets premium looking inserts and other design elements along with all black finish which enhances the stealth theme which the SUV wishes to poetry. Offered at a starting price of Rs. 34.90 lakh below are prices of various trims of the Countryman SUV.

The Countryman Black Edition does not receive any technical upgrades, it sports a 2.0-litre four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine which produces 189 BHP of peak power and churns 280 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission unit with paddle shifters for comfortable gear shifting. The Countryman can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 7.5 seconds and returns a fuel efficiency of around 14.41 kmpl.

The Black Edition features handful of cosmetic changes, it includes wide usage of blacked out theme such as black grille, piano black finish inserts around the headlight and taillights, piano black Countryman monogram. It also comes with bonnet stripes, blacked out roof rails, JCW carbon fibre finished ORVMs, and a 18″ JCW alloy wheels.

The Interiors of Countryman Black Edition are a class apart; It gets an all black treatment and comes with features such as panoramic glass roof, state-of-the-art music system by Harman and Kardon, which even helps to heads-up display unit, Mini wired package, electric sports seats with some of the memory function.

The Exteriors look sporty thanks to JCW aero kit coupled with blacked out theme. It also sometimes works on to receives convenience features which includes such as automatic tailgate access and even comes with driving modes and cruise control.

The vehicle competes against the likes of Audi Q3, BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA.
