The diesel and petrol avatars of the Hyundai Kona are available. But they will decide whether the Kona petrol or diesel will be India bound or not. It is based on an internal combustion engine and will be having a completely new platform. Moreover, the platform is also having the capability of electrification. To gain a huge profit in the market, expectations are that Hyundai will introduce petrol and diesel model of Kona in India.
The conventional powertrain launch for Hyundai Kona
If there is a conventional powertrain launch then it is expected to be fitting between Creta and Tucson. Creta belongs to one of the major success accomplished by Hyundai. However, it will be shorter than the Creta with a size of 105mm but the Kona will be wider than Creta by 20mm. It will have those specifications that it can compete with the Jeep Compass in India. However, all these depends if Hyundai decides to launch the Kona in India with a conventional powertrain.
