Covid Vaccine will be provided to people above 18 years from 1st May

Amid increasing cases of Covid-19, today the Modi government took a big decision regarding the Covid vaccination drive. According to this, from May 1, all people above 18 years of age will be given the Covid vaccine.

Everyone had to demand the vaccination should be allowed to everyone. Accordingly, the Modi government has decided to provide vaccines to people above 18 years of age. This will be the third phase of vaccination.

Under the first phase, front-line workers and people above 60 years of age were allowed to be vaccinated. After that in the second phase, vaccines are being given to people aged 45 years and above.

The central government said that in the third phase of the world’s largest vaccination campaign, the eligibility for purchase and vaccination of vaccines is being relaxed. The statement said that vaccine manufacturers are being given incentives to further increase production.

At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also said in a meeting with prominent doctors today that vaccination is the biggest weapon in the fight with Covid-19. He asked the doctors to encourage more and more people to get vaccinated. The PM said that the important thing is that people should not get panic by taking the vaccine.

According to the Union Health Ministry, 120 million doses of the vaccine have been administered in the country in 92 days. The ministry said that a total of 12,26,22,590 doses were inoculated. The beneficiaries include 91,28,146 personnel from the health sector who were given the first dose of vaccine and 57,08,223 health workers who were given the second dose.

Bharat Biotech Covaxin and Oxford-AstraZeneca’s Covishield are being given to the people in India. Recently, the government has approved Russia’s Sputnik vaccine.
