This Is What You Can Expect After Recovering From COVID-19

What Happens Once You have recovered From The Corona Virus

We can easily get an idea about how powerful or damaging this coronavirus is, if you just look around yourself and see people behind masks. It all started when a 55- year- old man from the province of Hubei in China contracted the virus on November 17, 2019. However, medical practitioners noticed the outburst of the virus at the end of December.

The COVID- 19 viruses have been spelling its wrath since then. But, how do you know that you have been infected by this deadly virus? Well, we all know it by now that there is a list of symptoms that you can notice and that in some cases there are no symptoms as well. Just to brush on your memory below is a list of some of the most common symptoms of coronavirus:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Extreme fatigue
  • Headache
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Diarrhoea
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Muscle and body pain

While most of us are well aware of these symptoms it has come to the notice that Covid-19 may have some long term effects on the infected individuals as well. According to a research conducted by the Indiana University School of Medicine, there are 98 symptoms that are still being experienced by people who recovered from the virus. Some of them are an increase in weight, dry eyes, rashes, clogged ears etc. But, one symptom that has been worrying people all across the globe is a surprising amount of hair loss. Women who have undergone this condition came on social media and shared their story.

Alyssa Milano, a well known American actress, producer and political activist came on social media on August 10th and posted a video where she is seen brushing her hair and seeing an alarming amount of hair being pulled out of her head. She says, this is what Coronavirus can do to your and we should all wear masks.

However, this isn’t the only time someone has opened up about this symptom. There are many other women who spoke and tweeted about the same on the internet along with pictures. We have to say the pictures are heartbreaking and the amount of hair that sheds off your head in one go is nothing that we have seen before. All of this just because of a virus that isn’t even visible to the naked eye.

Another point worth noticing is that those who have not been tested positive for the virus can also suffer from severe hair loss due to the other kinds of stress that are related to the pandemic. Hence, the best possible thing that you can do to protect yourself from the invisible monster is to stay inside, stay safe and take all the necessary precautions.
