Malala Yousafzai : One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen, can change the world.

For those of you who are still clueless about this girl whose image you might have seen now and then in the news or the print media, here are some truth about her that you have to read it (or do further research, it’s, not a bad idea) to believe it. Her name is Malala Yousafzai and she’s a 17 year old Nobel laureate who hails from the swat district of Pakistan, this region is heavily controlled by the Taliban. Yes, she is the youngest Nobel prize recipient, and why not?!, this girl proved her worthiness by not backing down on her and her father’s quest to spread education for the children and the youth and also fight against the suppressions faced by these children by the Taliban.

Malala Yousafzai captured global attention when she was shot by a Taliban militant, she had been receiving death threats and warnings before. She was immediately rushed to the military hospital in Peshawar, where doctors performed a 3 hour operation on her. The bullet had hit a left portion of her head and ending up on her shoulder near her spinal cord. To everyone’s relieve the operation was successful and she lived to fight another day.

She later on became scared as this event scarred her permanently and she became apprehensive about her future, she got married to a sheikh who gifted her goat. But that’s what you think! She not only survived the attack, but she became even more daring than before and this is true courage, unlike the fake courage when we watch a rocky balboa movie and pretend that we are dangerous.

She can’t fly, she doesn’t possess super human strength and she’s not from Amazon. But she’s a super hero, and this modern day wonder woman is not in the mood to stop. At such an early age Malala Yousafzai has met countless heads of state, prominent leaders and also has celebrities who honour her work like Maddona and Angelina Jolie to name a few.

This girl has done so much so fast, at just aged 17. For all those bad guys out there especially in Malala’s place, all I can say is, she has time, energy and the support of billions of people out there for her
