Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd
Its on! The wishes of Boxing fans world over will come true as the undefeated Pretty Boy Mayweather and the Unforgiving Pac Man Manny will go toe to toe against each other after a couple of months from now that is on the2nd of May.
These two figures have dominated the world of feather weight boxing ever since they turned professional. Mayweather Jr. boasts of an undefeated streak of 47-0 whereas Manny Pacquiao has the most number of K.Os that is 38.
These two tried to square off each other many a times in the past but were never able to because of one issue or the other. It was on the year 2013 when Mayweather had signed a huge deal with Showtime thus dashing the hopes of fighting Pacquiao as the Pac Man was signed with HBO.
The rivalries of these two companies escalated ever since the Lewis vs. Tyson Heavy weight bout in 2002. Lewis was with HBO and Tyson with Showtime. The event took place only after both the parties had agreed to a 50-50 pay per view agreement. However in the end it didn’t turn out well and these two blamed each other for many reasons of going against the agreement.
Mayweather was watching a basketball game where he happened to find Manny who was also coincidentally there too. After a brief discussion during half time they both made this epic decision to face each other.
Both are in their late 30s and both are on the verge of retirement, many feel that the match between these two wont be as explosive as they once thought it to be when Mayweather and Pacquiao were still in their prime. Nevertheless , fans all over the world don’t really care much about all that, they just want to witness a battle between two gods of boxing for the first time.
